2023 Acura Integra

Over 30 years ago, the Integra was born and was fueled by passion and youthful energy. That same spirit of the original premium sport compact returns as a bold 5-door design to deliver legendary emotional performance with versatility.  The Integra is now coated in Indy Yellow Pearl, the Integra Prototype pays homage to the Phoenix Yellow of the legendary 2000-2001 Integra Type R. It’s something we thought we’d never say: The Acura Integra is coming back! Acura is slated to make its debut at the end of 2022. According to Acura, the entry-luxury compact vehicle will be heavily based on the Honda Civic’s platform and is going to fill the Acura NSX’s spot. So in a world where SUVs and automatic transmissions reign supreme, Acura rejoices the Integra as a six-speed manual transmission hatchback.

Crafted With Passion

The 2023 Acura Integra features a redesigned frameless Diamond Pentagon grille upfront ushers in the new direction of Precision Crafted Performance. Restyled Jewel Eye™ LED headlights are a mark of distinct design upfront while the dramatic sloping roofline flows to striking LED taillights in the rear. Muscular fenders house the 19-in Shark Gray wheels and yellow Brembo® brake calipers for impressive stopping power and aggressive looks. The Acura Integra  Acura confirms that this fun-to-drive compact vehicle will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission! So, Integra lovers you will get to revel in this rare feature. Thus, fulfilling the wishes of many admirers. And since it is believed that the powertrain is going to be derived from the Civic Type R, hold onto your hats, imagine the Integra as a Type S!

Driving Spirit

The Integra Prototype is powered forward by a VTEC® Turbo engine, the first-ever factory turbocharged engine for an Integra. The Acura Integra has a powerful 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. There are no shortage of smiles as you enthusiastically row your own gears in full control. Performance isn’t just a goal, it’s the language we speak. Start making that list of excuses now to go for a drive. There’s no word yet but the newly-reborn 2023 Integra is expected to have a price tag in the low $30,000 range*. Though the ILX currently holds that spot, the 2023 Integra will be the luxury brand’s entry-level vehicle again, just like when it debuted in 1986.

The 2023 Acura Integra Marks The Return of the 5-door Hatchback

Though it’s not clear through the dropping of clues and vague teaser photographs the Acura Integra is expected to launch as a 5-door hatchback. Known more famously for being a coupe, it’s hoped that the two-door version will return to the compact’s lineup as well. Also, to help build the hype Acura unveiled another of the teaser photos. It was an image of a very modern headlamp with the same “Integra” script below the lens as previous versions. Though it was speculated to be the replacement of the ILX sedan in the Acura lineup, the Vice President of Acura, John Ikeda confirmed it will not be.
